Private hiking to Path of the Gods

Explore the Amalfi Coast from the most panoramic trail in Italy: the Path of Gods hike. Enjoy 7 km of breathtaking landscapes, historical towns and ancient mule routes.

The Path of the Gods is the most famous hiking trail in all of the Amalfi Coast. Stunning views along the entire walk make this hike a must for anyone in the area. As you look across the sea, you may not be able to tell where the sea line finishes and where the sky starts, connecting the Earth to the sky, and so, to the Gods.

The hike’s main section is about 6.5 km, starting from the small villages of Bomerano (in Agerola). Along the way, you will see beautiful sea views and coastal towns below. You will have an astonishing hike past towering limestone mountains, colourful wildflowers, and ancient abandoned stone houses, and through forests and meadows of long grass.

How did the name of the Path of the Gods come about?

One of the reasons of this special name is that the Path of the Gods owes its name to the legend that the ancient Greek Gods had to walk this trail to save Ulysses from sirens on Li Galli Island. Rated as one of the best hikes in the world, better not forget your camera!
